WHY DO YOU RIDE: This bike? To experience the city at the street level with a somewhat euro feel. It is about the journey more than the destination.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT BIKING IN OTTAWA WHAT WOULD IT BE: To feel like I am not in constant competition with cars.

WHAT ARE YOU RIDING: The Dannebrog (pronounced ’Dan-eh-broh’) by Velorbis. It is a Danish bike made to celebrate the national flag of Denmark.
WHY DO YOU RIDE: I love the feeling of riding. I love the wind rushing by me and cooling me off during the hot days of summer. I love using my own legs to get me places. I love passing cars sitting in congested traffic. I love hearing Elspeth’s commentary as she pushes on my back. I love how, sometimes, it feels like I am flying.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT BIKING IN OTTAWA WHAT WOULD IT BE: Replace parked cars with bike lanes.

WHAT ARE YOU RIDING: Yepp bicycle seat with a base on each of my parents’ bikes.
WHY DO YOU RIDE: As with many other things, I am not given a choice.
