Coca-Cola with a Spin: PART II

Zara Coca-Cola 150 Can

Coca-Cola has refreshing Canadians for 120 years. We’re celebrating Coca-Cola’s long history and deep roots in Canada and the love it has generated in Canadians across the country. Follow along on part two of the series of where to ride and gather with friends and family on Ottawa’s best bike paths.. Let’s go!

National Gallery Of Canada

If you’re looking for something quiet to do, why not visit the National Gallery of Canada. For a good history lesson, check out the Canadian and Indigenous Art collection. It’s a special exhibit that showcases the progression of visual arts in Canada. The exhibit opens June 15th and is part of the main exhibit Our Masterpieces, Our Stories. If you’re a fan of Canadian and Indigenous art, this collection is sure to impress. Before you go into the museum pack a picnic lunch and eat outside at Nepean Point. You’ll see a stunning view of Parliament from there!

Parliament Hill

For the ultimate 150 years since confederation party, get yourselves to Parliament Hill. Listen to some great Canadian artists perform like my favourites: Ruth B, Alessia Cara and the Souljazz Orchestra. Head over to Jacques Cartier park after to check out the MosaïCanada 150 horticulture event. It features sculptures, paintings and a 1km stroll through amazing plants. A definite must see. The largest pyrotechnic show will also be a must see this year. The fireworks will be on at 11pm weather permitting and will last 20 minutes and 17 seconds. This show will have 15,000 individual fireworks that can be best seen from Major’s Hill park!

Stay Home Club

For those that want no crowds and peace of mind, have your friends and family over for a BBQ and celebrate the diversity of Canada in your own backyard. Gather you friends and family earlier during the day to make use of the beautiful bike paths we have connecting the city. Ride around and end your day at home. Coca-Cola has some great recipes on their website that you can serve to your guests for a great party for all to enjoy!
