Simone Healey and a yellow bicycle

Hello Friends! It’s April and if you don’t know already, it’s Daffodil month. When you buy a daffodil pin or fresh daffodils from Loblaws, Zehrs, Valu-Mart, Real Canadian Superstore and Your Independent Grocer stores in Ontario, you’ll be saving lives and helping those who are living with cancer now and in the future.

When you wear a daffodil pin, you are showing those living with cancer that they don’t have to face cancer alone and that we won’t give up until all forms of the disease are defeated. The money raised this month will help patients and families in our community.

Take Simone’s story:

“Throughout my mom’s battle with cancer there were times when schedule conflicts didn’t allow for us to take her to appointments. Discovering the Wheels of Hope transportation program was a game changer. My mom always got along really well with the drivers, sitting in the backseat, myself or one of my siblings would hear them laughing and chatting the whole ride…what a wonderful sound that was! Often times the stories would make their way to the dinner table and friends and family would share these little memories. The volunteer drivers made a real difference, and I thank each and every one of them for their great work. “

With your support of Daffodil month, the Canadian Cancer Society will be able to help more Canadians through their support programs.
