NAME: Mike Norton
OCCUPATION: medical radiation technologist or MRT
WHERE YOU HEADING: To the hospital where I work in the west end.
WHAT ARE YOU RIDING: A black and pink Unknown Lv1 fixed gear that I assembled myself
WHY DO YOU RIDE: It makes me feel good! I can feel emotionally and physically terrible but once my legs and lungs start pumping, that all goes away. The oxygen is good for you! Plus, I need to justify all the bikes I keep building. It’s an illness.
IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT BIKING IN OTTAWA WHAT WOULD IT BE: More cyclists! If more people biked on the roads there’d be better awareness and understanding between drivers and cyclists. Infrastructure would grow, people would become healthier and live longer, there’d be less dependance on the health care system. It would be Utopia.

- Shoes: my amazing Sidi cycling shoes
- Shorts:Old Navy
- Glasses:Derek Cardigan from Clearly Contacts
FAVOURITE SPOTS TO BIKE: In Westboro on Richmond rd, the experimental farm, or sprinting up some hill trying to get a Strava KOM.
